[ARCHIVED] Important Information - Upcoming Automated Garbage Collection - Cart Selection

Beginning in mid-January, as part of the new automated waste removal services provided by Waste Management, all households will receive a 96-gallon cart for trash (you already have a 64-gallon cart for recyclables, which you will continue to use for recycling).

Hampton and Waste Management are giving residents an opportunity to select their cart size (96-gallon, 64-gallon, or 35-gallon) for your trash carts.  WE RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE THE 96-GALLON CART, BECAUSE WM WILL NOT TAKE ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE CONTAINER.

Within the next week, you will receive the attached post card regarding container selection.  If you decide on a smaller container, the post card has to be received by WM at December 23, 2022. Otherwise, you will receive the 96-gallon cart.

A SAMPLE OF EACH CART SIZE IS AVAILABLE TO VIEW INSIDE THE HAMPTON COMMUNITY CENTER during normal operating hours.  If you cannot make it to the Community Center, the attached photos can give you an idea of the sizes.

Post-card regarding cart selection to be mailed to Hampton residents.
