On 03/23/2023, a resident called the station to report that he received a phone call from someone claiming to be with Border Patrol Pittsburgh Office. He said the person advised him that they confiscated a drug package intended for him. He said he received a couple of these calls and they wanted him to purchase gift cards and they wanted him to give them the numbers on the back.
He was advised that this is a scam and to not contact them in any way.
