On 03/31/2023, Officers were dispatched to Mount Royal Blvd due to the road being covered with oil. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting person who pointed out a five gallon can of diesel fuel that spilled onto the roadway. The can had a hole in the bottom of it and appeared to be empty. The Hampton Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. Officers placed flares on the roadway to alert motorists to the slippery road conditions. Members of HVFD responded to the scene to put oil dry on the ground to absorb the diesel fuel that was mixed in with the rain. Officers remained on scene to assist with traffic control. County dispatch was advised to notify PennDOT of the condition.
