MUNICIPAL MANAGER POSITION
The Township of Hampton is seeking applicants for the position of Municipal Manager.
Hampton is vibrant residential community that thrives on family and friends. Township residents are civic minded and are actively involved in community as well as municipal affairs. In 2010, the Township was named "One of the Top Ten Towns for Families" by Family Circle Magazine. The Township is a full-service municipality. Services include administration/human resources, finance, public safety (police, volunteer fire and EMS.), information technology (general operations and GIS), facilities management, community development (land-use and zoning), community services (public works and recreation) and environmental services. Hampton utilizes the Council - Manager form of government with six elected officials: five council members and a controller who oversees finances, all elected at large.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator, approachable and comfortable speaking to individuals and groups. They will be a team player, friendly, outgoing and collaborative. He/she will lead by example, they will be both a great manager as well as a leader. The ideal candidate will be one who has at least three years of increasing responsible experience in local government management. Also, someone who processes a Master's Degree in Public Administration or a closely related academic field, though experience may be substituted for the educational requirements if appropriate.
