The Township has contracted with Shields Asphalt Paving to resurface Topnick and School Drives between McCully Road and Wildwood Road Extension, as well as the Community Park Road between Topnick Drive and the Soccer Building/Complex. Road resurfacing work, weather conditions permitting, will take place between 7 am and 7 pm, Monday thru Friday, June 12th thru 23rd.
The resurfacing process will include milling, vacuuming and cleaning of the road surface, the spraying of a tack coat material onto the road then the application of asphalt resurfacing material. The tack coat material can be very slippery to drive on and it may splash onto your vehicle. All efforts will be made to minimize this situation while at the same time maintaining traffic during this project. If you are directed by a traffic control flagger not to drive on the tack coated surface and you do so resulting in damage to your car, the contractor and the Township will NOT be liable for the damage or cleaning of the tack.
It is advisable to avoid driving on these roads during construction. Please consider using the Municipal Complex entrance instead of Topnick Drive. If you do use the Municipal entrance, please be considerate of the Township employees and residents walking throughout this area.
