Martha Hunkele, her husband Don, and members of her family were present at Council's December 13th meeting for the official dedication of the Community Park Playground. Councilmember Dr. Joe Dougherty presented the plaque that will be installed at the playground. Mrs. Hunkele has been a resident of Hampton for a very long time and has been such an instrumental member of the community, including a member of Hampton Council as well as a member of the Hampton Community Association who was key in getting the playground built.
