On 01/05/2024, an Officer observed the aftermath of a two vehicle motor vehicle accident on Duncan Avenue at Pine Creek Golf. Both vehicles were blocking the east travel lane of Duncan Avenue.
UNIT #1 said she was traveling east on Duncan Avenue, behind UNIT #2 when UNIT #2 stopped in the lane of travel to make a left turn. She said that she took her attention off the roadway and struck the rear of UNIT #2. The Officer observed the seatbelt actuator to be fired and the driver seatbelt to be locked in the extended position. Moderate damage was observed to the front bumper and hood. The operator was treated and transported to the hospital by Shaler Hampton EMS. UNIT #1 was removed from the scene by Zang Auto.
UNIT #2 said that he was traveling east on Duncan Avenue. He said that he stopped in the lane of travel to make a left turn into the parking lot of Pine Creek Golf when he was struck from behind by UNIT #1. No air bags were observed to be deployed and the operator said that he was wearing his safety belt at the time of the collision. Moderate damage was observed to the rear bumper area of UNIT #2. The operator denied injuries and denied medical evaluation on scene. UNIT #2 was driven from the scene under its own power.
Hampton Township Police accident forms were completed. The call was then cleared.
