[ARCHIVED] Garbage / Recycling Customer Handbook

Customer Handbooks prepared by the Township and Waste Management, that provides residents with essential information about the Township's automated trash and recycling collection, as well as yard waste, the Household Hazardous Waste At-Your-Door Program and much more, will be in the mail in the next couple of weeks (our apologies for the delay!).

As a reminder, all trash must be bagged and placed inside the cart for collection, recyclables must be placed loose into the recycling cart (glass is still accepted as part of your at-home recycling), and cardboard boxes must be broken down.  No materials will be accepted outside of the carts (an extra bag or box of garbage outside of the cart during bulk week is not considered a bulk item).  Bulk collection will be once a month on your scheduled collection day.  A bulk and yard waste collection calendar is available in the Customer Handbook.

Cardboard Dumpsters at the Municipal Complex - we realize more and more residents are buying on-line and the use of cardboard boxes has increased significantly over the last few years.  We are researching a better alternative than just the two recycling dumpsters and hope to have a solution in the near future.  In the meantime, if you are using the cardboard dumpsters PLEASE BREAK DOWN THE CARDBOARD BEFORE YOU PLACE IN THE DUMPSTERS.  Do not place cardboard beside the dumpster and wait until space is available.  If not contained properly in the dumpsters, the cardboard litters the community park.

Thank you!
