The Township is replacing the Clearview Road Bridge, which crosses Gourdhead Run and connects to Route 8. This project involves the replacing of the existing span and relocation of electrical, water, sewer and gas lines in the vicinity of the bridge. As a result, there will be a substantial impact to commuters who use the Clearview Road Bridge.
The initial phase of the project involves the aforementioned utility work, which will include intermittent lane restrictions across the Clearview Road Bridge. This utility work should be completed by early June.
THE SHUTDOWN OF THE BRIDGE AND DETOUR IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN JUNE 10TH. It is anticipated that the bridge will remain closed through September, 2024. Please consider using Route 8 to Harts Run Road to Clearview Road for your detour.
All work on this project is weather-dependent, including the start and end dates.
