On June 8, 2024, Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the area of Middle Rd. and Harts Run Rd. for a single vehicle crash into a telephone pole. County dispatch advised the telephone pole was said to be sheared off and wires were down/entangled around the vehicle.
Upon arrival, Officers observed numerous power lines lying across Harts Run Rd near Middle Rd as well as half of the telephone pole lying in the roadway. A fire hydrant and a stop sign were also hit. Duquesne Light was notified to respond ASAP due to the entrapment with possible live wires.
The operator was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
