On 1/5/26, Officers located a large water main break at the intersection of Herron Rd/Surrey Dr. HSWA was notified to respond out. Due to the large amount of water across all 4 lanes of Route 8 and Herron Rd, PennDot and Hampton DPW were notified to salt the road. Officers temporarily blocked one lane of North and Southbound Route 8 traffic to slow drivers down due to the water freezing. HSWA closed Herron Rd from Old Route 8 to Surrey Dr to make two repairs.
