On 2/4/2026, while responding to a vehicle accident on West Hardies Rd an Officer observed a vehicle stopped in traffic without its headlights activated, its emergency flashers activated, and minor damage to the front driver side of the vehicle. The Officer approached the vehicle and observed the driver’s speech to be slurred and an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. The driver was transported to the Police Station for field sobriety testing and subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.
Dispatch advised that the vehicle stopped had been involved in the accident that the Officer had been enroute to which was handled by another Officer.
