On April 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM Hampton Twp Police took a fraud report. The caller stated that she recently learned that she was the victim of identity theft after she filed her income taxes. She stated that on 04-15-2015, she received a text message from Turbo Tax advising her that her 2014 tax claim had been rejected by the I.R.S. She stated that she followed up with the I.R.S. and discovered that someone else received her tax refund. The identity of the suspect is unknown. The caller also filed a report with the I.R.S. website (I.R.S.Gov).
