On August 10, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. the Hampton Township Police received a report of an attempted fraud. The complainant stated that they received a phone call from someone claiming to be an IRS agent. The individual demanded that the complainant pay off "back taxes" and became vulgar when the complainant refused to provide any information. The complainant was advised that this was a common phone scam.
