On August 30, 2015 at 1:28 p.m. a Hampton Township police officer answered a phone call that at the police station regarding an attempted phone scam. The reporting party stated that they received a phone call from an individual claiming to be with Publisher's Clearing House. The reporting party was advised that this was a common phone scam typically associated with individuals who attempt to gain access to home computer systems.
