On October 12, 2016 at 02:26 a.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Sample Road for a hit and run accident that left one person entrapped and injured. The operator on scene was extricated and transported to the hospital by ambulance. The actor vehicle that had fled the scene was located in the nearby vicinity. The operator of the vehicle was located and showed signs of impairment. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
