On December 16, 2016 at 10:21 p.m., a Hampton Township officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 8 after observing the vehicle was being operated without it's headlights activated. The operator was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. The driver showed several signs of alcohol consumption and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
