On December 17, 2016 at 3:07 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Harts Run Road for a vehicle accident. The responding officer located a truck that was overturned on the roadway. There were no occupants within the vehicle, however, there was blood found near the vehicle, and fresh footprints in the snow walking away from the vehicle. Officers were able to follow the tracks and located an individual hiding behind a tree nearby. The individual had injuries, and was only wearing one shoe at the time. The individual was determined to be the operator of the overturned vehicle, showed signs of impairment, and was placed under arrest for DUI.
