On December 18, 2016 at 3:40 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8, At Wildwood Road, for a two vehicle collision. Upon arrival, the operator of one vehicle stated that their brakes failed when they applied them at the intersection, causing them to strike another vehicle. The operator of one vehicle showed signs of impairments and was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
