On March 10, 2017 at 12:09 a.m., a Hampton Township officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle, on Route 8, after observing multiple traffic violations. The vehicle struck a curb just prior to the initiation of the traffic stop. Upon speaking with the vehicle operator, they showed signs of impairment. The operator was unable to complete field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
