On July 18, 2017 at 9:21 p.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to the area of 4088 Mount Royal Boulevard for a report of a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, responding officers located a pickup truck that had struck a utility pole, shearing it at the base. The operator stated that the vehicle fishtailed and struck the pole. The three vehicle occupants reported injury at the time of the crash. Two were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the third was transported by private vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and Duquesne Light responded to the scene to replace the broken utility pole.
