On August 28, 2017 at 8:18 a.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to the area of Route 8 for a report that originated as a disabled vehicle. Upon the officer's arrival, a vehicle was located in the southbound passing lane of Route 8 and was missing a front tire. Officers discovered that the tire had fallen off of the vehicle and struck two other vehicles, one being an unoccupied vehicle that was parked in a business lot. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
