On September 11, 2017 at 9:56 p.m., a traffic stop was initiated by an officer on Route 8 after observing multiple traffic violations. The officer observed that the vehicle was unable to maintain it's lane of travel and speed. The operator showed visible signs of impairment when the officer made contact with them. After attempting to perform a few field sobriety tests, the operator was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
