On September 21, 2017 at 2:10 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Mount Royal Boulevard, at Hampton Lane, for a two vehicle accident. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle took their attention off of the roadway for a moment and rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway. The one involved vehicle was stopped in the roadway, waiting to turn left onto Hampton Lane when it was struck from behind. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage.
