On September 22, 2017 at 5:00 p.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to Middle Road, near Woodland Road, for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers located both vehicles. The accident occurred when one vehicle came to a complete stop in the roadway, obeying a fully uniformed Police Officer directing traffic for an event at Hartwood Acres. A second vehicle failed to stop and struck the other unit from behind. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage, and one operator was transported to the hospital by ambulance due to injuries.
