On November 21, 2017 at 1:21 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8, at West Hardies Road, for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, both vehicles were found to be blocking the roadway. Both vehicles had sustained disabling damage resulting from the crash and had to be towed from the scene. The crash occurred when the operator of one vehicle proceeded through a red traffic signal while traveling south on Route 8. A second vehicle was traveling north on Route 8 and was turning left onto West Hardies Road from Route 8 when it was struck by the second vehicle.
