On December 10, 2017 at 3:53 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Swansea Crescent West for smoke that was reported to be coming out of a residence. Upon arrival, the homeowner stated that they were attempting to start a fire in the fireplace when the house became very smokey due to a fire igniting within the chimney area. Fire units responded to the scene and gained control of the situation.
