On January 14, 2018 at 9:41 a.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Route 8 for a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole. Upon their arrival, the operator stated that they lost control of their vehicle due to icy road conditions. The vehicle crashed into a utility pole and had to be towed from the scene. The operator was transported to the hospital by ambulance due to possible injuries sustained from the crash.
