On January 19, 2018 at 11:35 a.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. The accident occurred when one operator had their vehicle stopped in the southbound passing lane, and was waiting to turn left into a lot when they were struck from behind. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to damage.
