On February 26, 2018 at 11:39 a.m., Hampton Township officers responded to the area of 4290 Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. Upon the officer's arrival, one vehicle was found to still be in the roadway. Both involved vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle was attempting to pull out of a parking lot at that location to travel south on Route 8. The operator did not observe another vehicle traveling on the roadway and collided with the other unit.
