On March 31, 2018 at 7:36 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8, at West Hardies Road, for a two vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, one operator sustained a facial injury from the air bag deploying within the vehicle and was transported to the hospital. The operator stated that they ran a red light and struck the other vehicle. Three occupants of the other involved vehicle were transported to the hospital for injury evaluation and treatment. They each stated that the other driver continued into the intersection during a steady red light and t-boned their car. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
