On August 16, 2018 at 3:25 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the Burger King parking lot for a live wire that had fallen on multiple vehicles. Upon arrival, they found one of the vehicles to be occupied. The sole occupant was advised to remain in his vehicle until Duquense Light Co. responded to the scene and shut off the power. The operator did not suffer any injuries. One vehicle sustained minor damage during the incident.
