On September 4, 2018 at 2:47 p.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to the intersection of Route 8 and Wildwood Road for a two vehicle accident. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle failed to stop for a steady red light at the intersection, resulting in a collision with the other vehicle. The other involved vehicle was traveling through a green light at the time of the crash. There were no injuries reported at the time of the accident.
