On October 26, 2018 at 12:43 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to the intersection of Route 8 and West Bardonner Road for single vehicle accident into a pole. It appeared that the vehicle had been traveling south on Route 8 when it left the roadway and struck the pole. Upon speaking with the operator of the vehicle, they claimed that they did not remember how the crash happened. Responding medics removed the driver from the vehicle and transported the individual to the hospital. The fire department was also on scene and assisted with traffic control and with cleaning up debris. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to damage.
