On October 29, 2018 at 6:19 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to West Hardies Road, at Richland Road, for a two vehicle accident. After speaking with the vehicle operators and witnesses, it appeared as thought the accident occurred when the operator of one unit was stopped in the roadway, waiting to turn left, when the driver that was traveling behind the other vehicle was unable to stop their vehicle in time to avoid a collision. The operator swerved into the oncoming lane, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
