On January 9, 2019 at 3:34 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8, at McCully Road, for a two vehicle accident. The two involved vehicles were still in the roadway upon the officer's arrival. The accident occurred when one vehicle was stopped on Route 8, in the southbound passing lane, waiting to make a left turn onto McCully Road. A second vehicle then rear-ended the stopped vehicle, causing disabling damage. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
