On January 22, 2019 at 10:50 p.m., Hampton Township Police and Water Authority were dispatched to West Hardies Road for a water main break. Upon the responding officer's arrival, water was observed to be spraying approximately 50 feet in the air, hitting a power line. Duquesne Light Co. was notified of the issue, as was the township DPW due to the icy conditions caused by the water main break.
