On February 7, 2019 at 12:19 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to a residence on Hampton Avenue for a report of a possible theft from a motor vehicle. Upon their arrival, the homeowner stated that they heard a car door open in front of the residence. Upon looking outside, they observed an individual running down the road. The dome light of the vehicle was found to be turned on, but nothing had been taken. Police checked the surrounding area.
Residents are encouraged to keep their vehicles locked at all times, and to refrain from leaving any valuables within their cars.
