On March 12, 2019 at 5:10 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Mount Royal Boulevard for a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole. The vehicle was reported to be smoking. Upon the officers' arrival, they located the vehicle in question resting against a telephone pole with heavy front end damage. The operator had sustained injuries during the crash, and medics responded to the scene. The operator had lost control of the vehicle around a bend in the roadway, struck a mailbox and then struck a telephone pole. The operator was transported to the hospital by ambulance and the vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage.
