On August 13, 2019 at 5:22 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Middle Road for a single vehicle accident involving a tree. Upon the officer's arrival, they located the involved vehicle in the front yard of a residence. The operator stated that a deer ran in front of his vehicle and he swerved to avoid hitting it, which resulted the vehicle exiting the roadway, striking a utility pole and a tree. The vehicle had to be towed due to extensive damage.
