On October 11, 2019 at 5:06 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. Upon the officer's arrival, they located both vehicles in a nearby parking lot. Both vehicles had sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene. The accident occurred when one operator attempted to enter Route 8 from a business parking lot and struck the other vehicle. One vehicle operator showed visible signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
