On October 23, 2019 at 8:51 hours, Hampton Township Police responded to the area of Mount Royal Boulevard and Royal View Drive for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. The caller reported that a vehicle had struck a tree near the intersection. The responding officer was able to locate the vehicle in question, and upon making contact with the vehicle operator, observed signs of impairment. The driver was asked to submit to a series of field sobriety tests, which they failed to complete as had been explained and demonstrated. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
