On December 7, 2019 at 2:44 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to a parking lot off of Route 8 for a crane lift that was said to be on fire. 911 dispatchers received multiple calls for the fire. The responding officer arrived on scene and observed a crane lift engulfed in flames, which was still attached to a vehicle. The officer attempted to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but was unable to fully extinguish the flames. Hampton Township Fire Department units arrived on scene and were able to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries reported on scene.
