On December 13, 2019 at 9:27 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Herron Road and Maple Lane for a report of a vehicle stuck in bushes off of the roadway. Upon their arrival, officers located the vehicle in a wooded area and made contact with the vehicle occupants, who were not injured. The operator, who was an inexperienced driver, stated that as they were negotiating a bend in the roadway they pressed the accelerator as opposed to the vehicle brakes, which resulted in the vehicle driving off of the roadway and into the wooded area. The vehicle was removed and was towed from the scene.
