On January 24, 2020 at 5:42 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, one vehicle was found to be in the roadway with substantial front end damage. The accident was reported to have occurred when one vehicle was stopped in the left northbound lane of travel, waiting for another car to turn off of the roadway when it was struck from behind. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
