On January 24, 2020 at 6:06 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to the intersection of Route 8 and Duncan Avenue for a three vehicle accident with possible injuries. Upon their arrival, one vehicle was found to be in the roadway at the intersection. The accident was reported to have occurred when two vehicles, one traveling northbound on Route 8, which was attempting to turn left onto Duncan Avenue, and the other traveling southbound on Route 8 both proceeded through steady red traffic signals and collided. One of the vehicles then struck a third vehicle that was stopped on Duncan Avenue. Two vehicle occupants from one of the involved vehicles were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Two of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
