On April 24, 2020 at 7:23 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8 and Wildwood Road for a single vehicle accident. The responding officer located the involved vehicle, which had struck a telephone pole. The driver stated that an animal ran into the roadway, which caused the driver to swerve, exit the roadway, and strike a telephone pole. The vehicle sustained heavy front end damage and had to be towed from the scene.
