On 6/27/2020 at 12:34 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8, at Harts Run Road, for a three vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, officers located the three vehicles blocking the northbound passing lane of Route 8. One vehicle sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. The accident was reported to have occurred when the operator of one vehicle was momentarily distracted and struck the rear of another vehicle that was stopped ahead in traffic. The second vehicle was then forced into a third vehicle that was also stopped in traffic.
