On August 19, 2020 at 8:45 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8 and Harts Run Road for a vehicle accident with possible injuries. Responding officers were informed that a vehicle had struck a telephone pole that was being transported by a truck and trailer and that the utility pole had gone through the vehicle’s windshield. Upon their arrival, officers located the vehicle in question, which had collided with a utility pole that was being transported on a trailer. The pole penetrated the passenger side of the front windshield. The operator was not injured. The accident occurred when the operator failed to see the utility pole and collided with it. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
