On October 19, 2020 at 1:36 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to South Montour Road for a report of a truck that slid off of the roadway. Upon the officer's arrival, they located an overturned truck that was over a hillside, along with a trailer and Kubota excavator that was attached to the vehicle. All occupants were out of the vehicle and no injuries were reported at the time of the accident. The operator stated that the accident occurred while trying to negotiate a bend in the roadway, which resulted in the vehicle sliding off of the roadway. The road was closed to vehicular traffic until a tow company was able to respond to the scene and remove the involved vehicle, trailer, and equipment.
